A GEORGE II STYLE WALNUT CHEVAL FIRESCREEN,
the panel embroidered with figures in medieval costume
on a maroon ground, on simple cabriole legs, 2ft. 11 in.
high by 2ft. 2in. wide (59cm. by 66cm.).
A GEORGE II MAHOGANY TRIPOD TABLE
with shaped square hinged top, turned pillar and
plain cabriole legs, 2ft. 2′/2in. high by l (67cm. by 58cm.)
circa 1740, top originally probably plain.
AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY JAPANNED CHEST ON
STAND, with rectangular moulded hinged lid, the top
front and sides with chinoiserie decoration in gilt on a
black ground, the European stand with shaped apron
and cabriole legs similarly decorated, 3ft. 6in. high by 4ft.
6′/2in. (107cm. by 138cm.) circa 1730.
A GEORGE II MAHOGANY CENTRE TABLE, the rec-
tangular top with rounded corners, on four turned legs
ending in pad feet, 2ft. 51hin. high by 2ft. lOin. wide
(75cm. by 85cm.) circa 1740.
A GEORGE II MAHOGANY DROP-LEAF TABLE, the
D-shaped fiaps supported on turned cabriole legs headed
by plumes, on claw-and-ball feet, 2ft. 4lhin. high by 6ft.
extended (72cm. by 183cm.) circa 1740, extensively
restored.
A GEORGE II PAINTED AND PARCEL-GILT PINE CORNER CABINET
with a shell top and panelled back, with five shaped
shelves, 8ft. 4in. high by 3ft. 2in. zoide (254cm. by 97cm.) formerly part of a panelled room.
A GEORGE II CIRCULAR MAHOGANY TRIPOD TABLE
with hinged top, knopped baluster stem, piain cabriole
legs, 2ft. 4in. high by 2ft. diameter (71cm. by 61cm.) circa
1745.
A LEATHER-COVERED MAHOGANY BERGERE, the Ser-
pentine-topped back with overscrolled down-curved
arms and square moulded legs joined by stretchers, mid-
18th Century, the upper part altered.
A LATE GEORGE II MAHOGANY TRIPOD TABLE with circular
top turned stem and pad feet, 2ft. 3in. high by 2ft.
(68cm. by 77cm.) circa 1750.
A MID-GEORGIAN MAHOGANY TEA OR GAMES TABLE,
the rectangular top with a moulded edge and banded
in satinwood and with a satinwood oval and spandrels, on square moulded and chamfered legs, 2ft. llin. wide (89cm.) circa 1760,
inlay possibly later.
A GEORGE II MAHOGANY CHEST of four graduated
long drawers with moulded top above a brushing slide,
on bracket feet, 2ft. 7in. high by 2ft. 6in. wide (79cm. by
76cm.) circa 1750.
A SMALL GEORGE III OVAL GILTWOOD MIRROR,
the plate enclosed by a bead moulding with vigorously
carved ‘C’ scrolls and flame motifs, the cresting rising in scrolls and leaves, 2ft. high by lft. 6′hin. wide (61cm. by 47cm.) circa 1760,
re-gilded, plate replaced.
A GEORGE III MAHOGANY OCTAGONAL CELLARET,
the body with three brass bands and a hinged lid, the
stand with a fluted trieze, on moulded chamfered legs,
2ft. 4in. high by lft. 7in. wide (71cm. by 48cm.) circa 1760,
stand later.
A CHINESE CHIPPENDALE STYLE MAHOGANY URN
TABLE, with almost square top, the frieze with blind
gothic fret and a slide, the square legs joined by arched
pierced X-stretchers, lft. Whin. high by lVhin. square
(57cm. by 29cm.) circa 1900.
A GEORGE III MAHOGANY CORNER CUPBOARD,
the broken triangular pediment outlined with petal
and dentil mouldings, with three shaped shelves; the lower part with a pair of fielded panel doors, on bracket feet, 7ft. high by 4ft.
3in. wide (213cm. by 103cm.) circa 1760, upper part originally with a pair of doors.
A GEORGE III MAHOGANY PEMBROKE TABLE, with
a frieze drawer and turned “spider” legs joined by
turned stretchers, 2ft. 3′/2in. high by 2ft. Whin. wide
(70cm. by 87cm.) circa 1765.
A GEORGE III MAHOGANY EXTENDING DINING
TABLE, with a pair of D-shaped ends on square tapering
legs with block feet, 4ft. 3in. wide by 4ft. 2in. long (130cm.
by 127cm.) circa 1770, with an extra leaf Ift. 7′/2in. wide.
A GEORGE III CHAIR, the toprail centred
by a small panel carved with drapery above three stick
splats, the stuffed bowed seat on square tapering legs, circa 1785.
A GEORGE III MAHOGANY SIDE TABLE, the fluted frieze centred
by an anthemion panel and interrupted by oval and circular
paterae, raised on six square tapering legs each headed by husks trailing from the paterae and ending in
block feet, 7ft. 3in. wide (221cm.) circa 1770, the
centre frieze panel now containing two drawers.
ANOTHER, the three stick splats divided by a pair
of guilloche-carved splats, with stuffed bowed seat and
square tapering legs, circa 1785.
ANOTHER, the arched toprail headed by leaves, the three stick splats filled with trellis-work, with stuffed bowed seat and tapering moulded legs.
