A WILLIAM AND MARY WALNUT SECRETAIRE
CABINET, the upper part with a drawer in the cushion
frieze above a fall-front enclosing a fitted interior with a
central cupboard surrounded by drawers and pigeon-
holes and also with secret compartments, the lower part
with two short and two long drawers, 5ft. 2in. high by
3ft. 5in. zoide (157cm. by 104cm.) circa 1700, later bun
feet.
A CARVED GILTWOOD PICTURE FRAME, pierced with
scrolls and cherubs, 2ft. 3in. high by lft. 7V2in. zoide,
(68.5cm. by 49.5cm.) late 17th Century, now with a rec-
tangular mirror-plate.
A BLACK LACQUER CABINET ON STAND with a pair of cupboard
doors ornately decorated in gilt with figures in landscapes,
the sides set with floral panels and enclos-ing an arrangement of ten drawers similarly decorated, on a japanned
stand with a frieze drawer and turned and fluted legs joined
by a concave pierced platform stretcher, 5ft. 5′/2in. high by 3ft. 2Vzin. wide (166cm. by 89cm.) cabinet early 18th Century, Chinese.
A LACQUER CABINET ON LATER JAPANNED STAND,
with two doors enclosing an arrangement of eight drawers
decorated in gilt on black ground with figures in land-scapes,
5ft.by 2ft. wide (156cm. by 61cm.) cabinet early 18th Century,
exterior distressed.
A GEORGE I BLACK JAPANNED TALLBOY, the upper
part with a moulded cornice and two long drawers, the
lower part with three long drawers, on bracket feet, the
whole decorated with birds and figures and landscapes,
5ft. 5′Mn. high by 3ft. wide (166cm. by 91cm) circa 1725,
later decoration and one drawer later.
A GEORGE I WALNUT COFFER ON STAND, the rec-
tangular crossbanded top with a hinged lid with two locks,
the stand with a shaped apron, on cabriole legs with
pointed pad feet, with brass carrying handles, 3ft. lin.
high by 4ft. wide (94cm. by 122cm.) circa 1715, legs
possibly later.
A QUEEN ANNE WALNUT BLANKET CHEST with a rectangular chevron
and crossbanded moulded top, with one shallow and two deep
drawers in the shaped lower part, 2ft. 11′hin. high by 3ft. Sin. wide (89cm. by 104cm.) circa 1710, on bun feet, re-veneered.
A QUEEN ANNE WALNUT CHEST of two short and three graduated
long drawers, 3ft. 3in. high by 3ft. wide (99cm. by 95cm.)
early 18th Century, later top and bracket feet, possibly formerly on a stand.
A GEORGE I WALNUT TOILET GLASS, the rectangular
bevelled plate with arched cresting, the base of bureau
shape and with a central arched cupboard surrounded by
seven concave-fronted drawers, 2ft. 5in. high by lft. 2′hin.
wide (74cm. by 37cm.) circa 1725.
A GEORGE I WALNUT TALLBOY with three short and six
graduated long drawers, on bracket feet, 5ft. 10′hin.
high by 3ft. 5in. wide (179cm. by 104cm.) circa 1720.
A GEORGE II MAHOGANY CHEST ON STAND, the
rectangular moulded top above two short and three
graduated long drawers, the moulded stand with piain
frieze, on cabriole legs and pad feet, 3ft. 9in. high by
3ft. wide (114cm. by 92.5cm.) circa 1740, with
restorations.
A GEORGE II MAHOGANY BEDSIDE CUPBOARD, the
top with a hinged sliding door above a fitted pull-out
lower part, 2ft. 6in. high by lft. 9in. wide (76cm. by 53cm.)
circa 1760.
A GEORGE I PROVINCIAL WALNUT BUREAU, the enclosing a fitted
interior with a well above two short and two graduated long
drawers, on bracket feet, 3ft. 4in. high by 3ft. wide (102cm. by 91cm.) circa 1720.
A LATE GEORGE II MAHOGANY DUMB WALTER
with three tiers joined by turned balusters, on down-
curved cabriole legs and pad feet, high (117cm.)
mid-18th Century, one leg repaired.
A GEORGE II MAHOGANY APOTHECARY’S CABINET,
with a moulded cornice above a pair of arched fielded
panelled doors, with an arrangement of twenty-five
drawers and pigeon-holes, with a writing slide and two
lopers, on bracket feet, 5ft. high by 2ft. 8in. wide (153cm.
by 81cm.) circa 1740.
A GEORGE II CIRCULAR MAHOGANY TRIPOD TABLE,
the hinged top with bird-cage Support, on a turned
pillar and cabriole legs, 2ft. 3in. high by 2ft. diameter
(69cm. by 61cm.) circa 1740.
A LACQUER CABINET ON STAND with a pair of doors decorated
with sea and landscapes in gilt and red on a black ground
and enclosing an arrangement of Japanese lacquered drawers, the japanned stand with pierced brackets and square
chamfered legs, 5ft. 4in. high by2ft. 8V4in. zvide (163cm. by 83cm.) mid-18th Century.
A GEORGE II MAHOGANY ARMCHAIR in the manner
of Mathew Darly, with an arched toprail centred by an
acanthus-leaf-carved cresting with a pierced vase-shaped
splat, drop-in saddle-shaped seat and cabriole legs carved
with acanthus leaves at the knee, ending in claw-and-
ball feet, circa 1740.
A GEORGE II BOTTLE RACK, the divided top with
a carrying handle eut in the partition, on a walnut stand
with a scrolling apron carved with a shell, on cabriole
legs with florally carved scrolling feet, lft. lOin. high by
2ft. 2in. wide (56cm. by 66cm.) circa 1750.
