A GEORGE II MAHOGANY PRESS with a shaped
stepped comice and a pair of panelled cupboard doors
above two short and two long drawers in the base, on
ogee bracket feet, 6ft. 4V2in. high by 4ft. wide by
2ft. deep (194cm. by 134cm. by 61cm.) circa 1750, two
drawers dummy.
A MAHOGANY BOOK CABINET, the upper part with
a dentil cornice and two glazed doors, the lower part
with a pair of panelled doors, on bracket feet, 7ft. 3V2in.
high by 4ft. 6in. wide (222cm. by 138cm.) lower part
mid-18th Century.
A GEORGE II WALNUT CHEST, the rectangular
moulded, crossbanded top above three graduated long
drawers, on bracket feet, 2ft. l/2in. high by 3ft. S’Mn. wide
(80cm. by 105.5cm.) circa 1740, formerly the base of a
chest on stand, top replaced.
A LATE GEORGE II MAHOGANY TEA OR GAMES
TABLE, the rectangular top with a drop-leaf and a
drawer in the frieze, on moulded chamfered legs,
2ft. 3lhin. high by 3ft. 2in. wide (70cm. by 96cm.) circa
1760.
AN EARLY GEORGE III CARVED GILTWOOD OVER-MANTEL
with central oval plate contained within a border of
smaller plates, all with leaf and scroll frames, and
surmounted by an um,
5ft. lin. high by 5ft. lOin. zoide (155cm. by 178cm.)
circa 1760, with restoration.
A MAHOGANY DISPLAY CABINET, with a dentil
cornice and a pair of glazed doors enclosing adjustable
shelves, the projecting lower part with three long
drawers, on splayed bracket feet, 6ft. Hin. high by
3ft, base mid-18th Century, but reduced in
height, Upper part circa 1900.
AN EARLY GEORGE III CARVED GILTWOOD AND
GESSO GIRANDOLE, the shaped plate contained within a
border of smaller plates, the frames composed of leaf-
and flower-carved C- and S-scrolls, 4ft. lin. high by
2ft. 8in. (125cm. by 81cm.) circa 1760, formerly with
candle-branches.
AN EARLY GEORGE III MAHOGANY BEDSIDE COMMODE
with solid gallery pierced with two carrying handles,
above a pair of cupboard doors set with satinwood ovals and a pot drawer
panelled to resemble two drawers, on moulded square legs, 2ft. 5in.
high by lft. 7′/2in. wide (74cm. by 49.5cm.) circa 1765.
A GEORGE III MAHOGANY SECRETAIRE CABINET,
the rectangular dentil moulded cornice above a pair of
crossbanded doors enclosing adjustable shelves, the
crossbanded fall-front enclosing a fitted interior of
drawers and pigeonholes surrounding a central cup-
board, flanked by reeded pilasters, above two short and
three long graduated drawers, on shaped bracket feet,
7ft. 3′/2in. high by 3ft. lOin. wide (222cm. by 112cm.)
circa 1765.
A GEORGE III SMALL MAHOGANY PEMBROKE TABLE
with rectangular flaps and a drawer at one end, on
square chamfered legs and castors, 2ft.high by 3ft. 1 V2in. wide (72cm.
by 95cm.) circa 1770.

drawers, on bracket feet, 3ft. 7in. high by 3ft. 2′/2in. wide

above an arch, the right side with a curved bottle
drawer and the left with a door enclosing two shelves, on
six square tapering legs with block feet, 6ft. wide (183cm.)
circa 1780.
A GEORGE III MAHOGANY “SPIDER”-LEG TABLE,
with rectangular two flap top and spindle-turned legs,
joined by turned stretchers on brass castors, 2ft. 5′Ain.
wide (74.5cm. by 80cm.)circa 1770.
A GEORGE III MAHOGANY CORNER CUPBOARD
with a moulded cornice and astragal glazed doors enclosing
shelves with fluted chamfered sides, the lower part with a cupboard door, on
bracket feet, 7ft. l’/zin. high by 2ft. 9in. wide (216cm. by 84cm.) circa 1770.
A GEORGE III DROP-LEAF TABLE with semi-circular
leaves, on moulded chamfered square legs, 2ft. 4in. high
by 5ft. ‘Mn. wide (71cm. by 154cm.) circa 1770, extensively
restored.
A GEORGE III SERPENTINE-FRONTED MAHOGANY
SIDE OR SERVING TABLE, with a moulded edge and four
tapering legs with a square and diamond section,
3ft. 4′/2in. high by 6ft. 7in. wide (93cm. by 201cm.) circa
1780.
A MAHOGANY HUNT OR WAKE TABLE,
the elongated oval top with two flaps,
on six square moulded legs, 2ft. 4in. high, top 4ft. Hin. by 3ft. 6in.
(71cm. by 150cm. by 107cm.) part
of the underframe 18th Century.
A GEORGE III SERPENTINE-FRONTED MAHOGANY
SIDEBOARD with a central drawer each side with a
drawer above a deep drawer on the left and a door on the
right, the latter two with a tulipwood crossbanded oval,
on six tapering legs of square and diamond section,
4ft. 9in. wide (143cm.) circa 1780, originally larger and
drawers re-lined.
A CARVED GILTWOOD OVERMANTEL in George III
style, the rectangular bevelled plate contained within a
mirror glass frame with giltwood borders and surmounted
by an um flanked by gryphons, 3ft. 3in. high by 3ft. 6in.
wide (100cm. by 107cm.).
