of two short and three long drawers with curved apron,
on bracket feet, 8V4in. high by wide (21cm. by 16.5cm.)

A REGENCY TOILET MIRROR with rectangular plate, turned
supports and a pair of drawers in the bowed base, on turned
feet, 2ft. 2in. wide (68cm.) circa 1805.

A MARQUETRY CABINET ON CHEST, with an ogee
comice and a pair of doors enclosing an arrangement of
thirteen drawers and a cupboard, the lower part with
two short and two long drawers, on bracket feet, both
parts inlaid with strapwork designs and foliate marquetry,

1765, lower part circa 1750.

A GEORGE II WALNUT STOOL in the French style,
the padded serpentine top raised on moulded cabriole
legs with scroll feet, 2ft. lin. long (64cm.) restored and
with later applied frieze moulding.

A GOOD MAHOGANY SIDE TABLE with verde antico
marble top, the cavetto frieze centred by scrollwork
above a shaped convex apron incised with diamond
trellis centred by a bearded grotesque mask flanked
by scrolls and continuing in leafy scrolls into the cabriole
legs, ending on leaf scroll feet of exaggerated form,
2ft. 9V2in. high by 4ft. 3in. wide (85cm. by 130cm.) circa
1740, possibly Irish, top replaced.

AN OAK CHEST inlaid with chequer-bandings, the
serpentine front with three long drawers, on bun feet,
2ft. 9in. high by 3ft. (84cm. by 113cm.) circa
1760, probably German.

AN UNUSUAL WALNUT PARQUETRY MINIATURE BUREAU ON STAND,
the hinged sloping front opening to reveal an interior of
six small drawers with a drawer below, on cabriole feet,

lft. 9in. high by 2ft. 2in. zvide (53cm. by 66cm.) circa 1760,
possible Alsace or Lorraine.

A WALNUT ARMCHAIR, the rectangular padded back
with downcurved moulded arms and scroll supports, on
S-scroll legs joined by moulded S-scrolled stretchers,
circa 1680, Flemish or North Italian, the crimson damask
early 18th Century.

A PAIR OF PORTUGUESE LEATHER-COVERED BEECH-
WOOD CHAIRS, the tall backs with shaped tops and bases
and covered in leather stamped with flowers and figures
held by giant brass-headed nails, the seats with floral
design and raised on turned legs with shaped front
stretchers, late 17th Century.

A FLEMISH ROSEWOOD AND EBONY TABLE CASKET
in the form of a miniature armoire, with a pair of panelled
doors inlaid with lozenges, the interior with a removable
perspectived interior faced with an architectural panel
and surrounded by seven small drawers,high
(30cm.) late 17th Century.

A GERMAN CARVED OAK SMALL TABLE with moulded serpentine
top, the frieze carved on ail sides with rococo scrollwork
and with a drawer, raised on slender cabriole legs headed

by flowers, 2ft. 7in. high by 2ft.
wide (79cm. by 67cm.) circa 1750, top replaced.

A GOOD SET OF SIX DUTCH WALNUT AND MARQUETRY
CHAIRS, the moulded backs with elegant bent vase-
shaped splats, the drop-in seats with shaped seatrails
and cabriole legs with hairy feet, joined by moulded H-
shaped stretchers, inlaid with birds and flowers, mid 18th
Century, with restoration.

ANOTHER SET OF SIX DUTCH WALNUT MARQUETRY
DINING CHAIRS, the high curved backs with serpentine
toprails and vase-shaped splats inlaid with flower vases,
birds and flowerheads, the drop-in serpentine-fronted
seats raised on cabriole legs carved with stylized husks
at the knees and joined by wavy H-stretchers, circa
1730.

A PAIR OF GILT-METAL AND CUT-GLASS CHANDELIERS
each with a leaf-entwined central stem and two rings
of glass beads of differing sizes hung with glass drops, with bag

bases, each with three candie-branches, 2ft. high (62cm.), 19th Century.

A PAIR OF SOUTH AFRICAN STINKWOOD SIDE CHAIRS with plain
toprails and crossbars, riempie seats, and square tapering
reeded legs and stretchers, circa 1810.

A PAIR OF ORMOLU CASSOLETTES, the urn-shaped
upper parts mounted with rams’ masks, raised on fluted
columns and square bases, (22cm.) first half
of 19th Century, probably German.

A   GOOD  SET   OF   SIX   DUTCH    WALNUT   AND
MARQUETRY CHAIRS, the back with shaped supports and waved
splat inlaid with a parrot in a wreath above a vase of flowers,
the serpentine-fronted drop-in seats on cabriole legs,

mid 18th Century, marquetry 19th Century.

A   PORTUGUESE   COLONIAL   SlDE   TABLE,   the
rectangular top centred by a plain panel surrounded by
ivory flowerheads, the frieze containing two drawers
similarly inlaid with flowerheads and with pierced brass
corner mounts, the four twisted and ivory-inlaid legs
joined by a similarly twisted stretcher on ebonised bun
feet, 2ft. 6V2in. high by 3ft. ‘Ain. wide (77.5cm. by 92cm.)
early 19th Century.

A WALNUT AND MAHOGANY CENTRE TABLE in the
Moorish style, with a circular top and arcaded frieze raised
on eight pairs of ebonised columns, the base with bun
feet, 2ft. 7in. high by 2ft. lOin. diameter (79cm. by 86cm.)
early 19th Century, probably Italian.

A BIEDERMEIER MAHOGANY NECESSAIRE in the form
of a grand piano, with mirror-lined interior and a musical
box movement, on five square tapering legs, 11 ‘hin. long

(29cm.) circa 1820, restored.

117    A Louis XVI PAINTED AND PARCEL-GILT OVER-DOOR PANEL
of oval shape, carved with a cherub riding a dolphin within a
laurel-leaf border, 22′hin. high by 32in. wide (57cm.

by 83cm.) late 18th Century.

WALNUT AND FRUITWOOD VENEERED CUPBOARD,
the serpentine moulded cornice above a frieze inlaid
with the date, the pair of shaped doors veneered in three
panels with a geometrie pattern, the similarly veneered
sides above a shaped apron with short cabriole legs,
6ft. ll’/tin. high by 3ft. 9ft. wide (212cm. by 114cm.) dated
1760, South German or Swiss, feet replaced and
restored.

A PAIR OF BIEDERMEIER CHERRYWOOD CHAIRS
with curved toprails and lyre-shaped backs, the
detachable seats covered in needlework and raised on
Square tapering legs, circa 1820.

A BIEDERMEIER MAHOGANY SMALL CORNER
CONSOLE TABLE, the bow front with a drawer and raised
on a pair of scrolled supports, lft. 4′/2in. high by lft. 4in.
wide (42cm. by 41cm.) circa 1820, originally with a third
support.

A   DUTCH   WALNUT   AND   MARQUETRY   CORNER
CUPBOARD inlaid with birds, cornucopias and flowers,
the door with an arched panel, on tall bracket feet,
3ft. ‘Ain. high by 2ft. 3in. wide (93cm. by 68cm.) early

the circular top set with a panel embroidered with wool and
silk on a cream ground, with lotus carved pillar and concave

circa 1830.

A LOUIS XV PROVINCIAL WALNUT POUDREUSE
with ebony bandings, the triple divided serpentine
top with a mirror-lined centre and each flap with

AN ITALIAN PAINTED TRIPOD TABLE, the oval top
decorated in chinoiserie with an Emperor and his
attendant, on a ring-turned baluster stem and cabriole
legs, 2ft. 4in. high by 2ft. 5in. diam. (71cm. by 73cm.)
mid 18th Century.

A DUTCH MAHOGANY CHEST of serpentine shape
with four graduated long drawers, shaped apron and
splayed feet, 2ft. 8in. high by 3ft. 8in. wide (81cm. by
112cm.) circa 1770.

form and rail inlaid with a pattern of ivory spots, with
four ebony pillars and porcupine quill spindles,
lft. wide (39cm.) late 18th Century.

A DUTCH MAHOGANY AND MARQUETRY BUREAU,
the ogee flap inlaid with a large oval and enclosing a fitted
interior with a well, with three drawers in the ogee front
above an apron inlaid and carved with a portrait
medallion, on claw and bail feet, 3ft. 6in. wide by
3ft. Win. high (107cm. by 117cm.) third-quarter 18th
Century.

A Louis XV PROVINCIAL PINE CUPBOARD with serpentine moulded
cornice, the frieze with a roundel of a basket of flowers
flanked by fruiting grape and a pair of doors with shaped fielded panels, also carved with flowers,
and the slightly projecting lower part with a pair
of similar doors, with fluted oak corner posts con-tinuing into the scroll front feet, 7ft. Win. high by 4ft. 9′/2in. zvide (239cm. by 146cm.) circa 1770.
