with two short and two long drawers, 5ft. 2in. high by
3ft. 5in. zoide (157cm. by 104cm.) circa 1700, later bun

A CARVED GILTWOOD PICTURE FRAME, pierced with

dated 1839

A PAINTED AND PARCEL-GILT LOOKING GLASS, the
rectangular plate flanked by pilasters, the triangular
pediment centred by an eagle, 3ft. 7in. high by 2ft. 4′/2in. wide (109cm. by 72cm.)
circa 1840, possibly Viennese.

A CHARLES X GILT BRONZE-MOUNTED CUT-GLASS CASKET
with ribbed domed lid, flower and leaf-cast border,
coffer-shaped body, the base carved with lyres and foliage,(18cm.) circa 1830.

A RESTAURATION BRONZE AND GILT-BRONZE THER-
MOMETER in the form of a rectangular column which

SIDE CABINET similar, with Ste. Anne marble top, the
flat front with a dummy drawer above a cupboard, the
curved sides with open shelves, on tapering feet, 3ft. 2in.
high by 2ft. Whin, wide (96cm. by 87.5cm.) late 18th/early
19th Century.

A NORTH GERMAN MAHOGANY TALL CHEST of six
drawers flanked by twist-turned columns, 5ft. Vhin. high
by 3ft. 5in. wide (153.6cm. by 104cm.) circa 1840, possibly
Hamburg.

A SPANISH WALNUT VARGUENO
with a hinged flap enclosing an arrangement of ten drawers
and two cupboards surrounding a recess, lft. Win. high by 3ft.wide (56cm. by 95cm.) late 17th Century.

A GERMAN MARQUETRY ARMOIRE, the cornice with dentil moulding
above an intarsia diamond guilloche panel, the doors with three
panels, the top one with a “Nonsuch” marquetry panel above a panel of strapwork and a vase of flowers within
a chequer border, the panelled sides inlaid with diamonds, 6ft.
high by 5ft. lin. wide (198cm. by 110cm.) early llth Century, Cologne.

AN OYSTER-VENEERED WALNUT CABINET ON STAND
with a pair of doors enclosing an ebony-lined interior
fitted with a central panelled cupboard surrounded by
small drawers, the frieze with three further drawers,
raised on spirally turned legs and waved flat stretchers,
4ft. 6in. high by 3ft. 4′Mn. wide (131cm. by 103cm.) late
1 Ith Century, Flemish or German, the central drawer of
the stand lined with an 18th Century engraving for a
boardgame.

A GERMAN PINE COFFER, with moulded hinged
lid, the front applied with arcades and moulded pilaster
strips with a serpentine apron, on bracket feet, with the
remains of painted decoration, 2ft. 9in. high by 4ft.
ll’fain. wide (84cm. by 151cm.) late 16th Century/early
17th Century.

A SPANISH LOW TABLE, the top veneered in
rosewood with panels of tortoiseshell and bands of
scrollwork in light wood, raised on turned beechwood
legs with arched iron stretchers, lft. llin. high by
2ft. 8in. long (58cm. by 82cm.) the top originally from a
17th Century cabinet.

A PAIR OF SPANISH OAK CHILD’S CHAIRS,
the leather studded backs surmounted by finials,
with leather seats on baluster legs joined by stretchers.

A FLEMISH OAK TRIPOD TABLE, the twelve-sided top supported
on a folding stand with splayed and fluted legs joined by
a carved stretcher, 2ft. lin. high by 2ft. 9′/2in. wide (64cm. by 85cm.) mid-llth Century.

AN IBERIAN PAINTED CABINET ON STAND of
panelled form outlined with ribbed mouldings, the
upper part with a pair of doors and decorated with white
and gold stippled marbling within green and black
border, picked out in gold and white and with red and
black ribbed mouldings, the stand with a pair of drawers
with red and white and blue marbling and raised on six
legs, the corner ones of spiral-twist form and the pair of
central front ones with vertical ribbed mouldings, joined
by moulded stretchers, 5ft. 6in. high by 3ft. 8in. wide
(168cm. by 112cm.) third quarter of the 17th Century,
Spanish or Portuguese, the gallery probably replaced,
the interior now containing a shelf.

A NORTH ITALIAN BEECHWOOD ARMCHAIR, the shaped moulded back
inlaid with seated figures, the flat moulded arms with turned
supports, the stuffed seat on turned legs and stretchers, late llth/early 18th Century.

A FLEMISH WALL MIRROR, the frame painted to resemble tortoiseshell
and ebony with rectangular mirror plate, 2ft. 9in. high by 2ft.
wide (84cm. by 73.5cm.) circa 1680, originally a picture frame.

A SPANISH FRUITWOOD CABINET, the inverted breakfront moulded
comice with dentil carved decoration above a pair of doors each
with seven moulded panels, divided from the base by a pair of carved and moulded drawers above a similar pair of
panelled doors, on shaped feet, the sides similarly moulded,
6ft. lin. high by 4ft. 5in. wide (185cm. by 135cm.) 17th Century, later cornice, extensively restored.

A TORTOISESHELL-VENEERED TABLE CABINET, the
panelled body outlined with ivory bands, the hinged lid
enclosing a removable tray and removable wells and the
lower part of the front hinged and enclosing an
arrangement of one deep and seven short drawers
similarly decorated, 11 in. high by lft. wide
(28cm. by 37cm.) second half of the 17th Century,
probably Goanese.

A PAIR OF FLEMISH WALNUT SIDE CHAIRS, the high
stuffed backs with arched toprails, on bobbin-turned legs
joined by bobbin-turned stretchers, circa 1680.

AN ITALIAN WALNUT CASSONE, the frieze with small
chip-carved divisions above three pairs of arches,
with a lower frieze similar to the upper one and paw feet, 2ft. 3in. high by 4ft. 9in. wide (68cm. by 145cm.) late 16th/early
17th Century, the front now with a door.

ANOTHER with spirally fluted moulding, three drawers
outlined with waved moulding above a chevron-fluted
frieze, the legs of similar, but simpler, form to the preceding lot, early 18th Century, drawers relined

A PORTUGUESE SOLID ROSEWOOD TABLE, the top
with a ropetwist edge, the panelled frieze with three
drawers divided and flanked by small corbels and raised
on four tapering turned and spiral-twist legs joined by
similar stretchers, 2ft. 8V2M. high by 4ft. lOin. wide
(82cm. by 148cm.) early 18th Century.

AN OAK TABLE, the rectangular top above a frieze
set with five small moulded drawers carved with foliate
scrolls, the turned columnar legs with spiral flutes
headed by carved capitals and joined by a flat
H-stretcher, 2ft. 83Ain. high by 6ft. llin. wide (83cm. by
211cm.) French or Spanish, late 16th/early 17th Century,
extensively reconstructed.

ANOTHER, the top with a waved and moulded
edge, the ribbed frieze with three drawers at the front
and back and raised on six well-turned tapering legs
joined by turned stretchers, 2ft. lOin. high by 4ft. 9in.
wide (86cm. by 145cm.) early 18th Century, drawers
relined.

A PORTUGUESE EBONISED TABLE CABINET, the top
with a moulded frieze above an arrangement of eight
drawers panelled to resemble ten drawers, surrounding a
cupboard enclosing an arrangement of four drawers
panelled in rosewood, lft. 6in. high by 2ft. 4in. wide
(46cm. by 71cm.) 17th Century.

ORIENTAL HARDWOOD ARMCHAIRS - MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK - A VICTORIAN OAK HALL CHAIR - A VICTORIAN MAHOGANY CHEST

A LATE VICTORIAN OAK GONG STAND
The arched foliate scroll-carved toprail flanked on each side by an acorn finial, suspending a brass gong between carved spandrels and turned columns, on curved supports with paw feet.

A PAIR OF ORIENTAL HARDWOOD ARMCHAIRS
Each with arched foliate-carved and pierced back and armrests above a solid carved seat on shaped legs.

A VICTORIAN MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK
The pediment with confronting s-scrolls, above an arched glazed door, enclosing an enamelled dial with subsidiary seconds and date dials, painted with a landscape to the arch and fruit to the spandrels, inscribed Mattes. Robertson, Latrine, the case fitted with a moulded rectangular trunk door between canted angles, the panelled base on a splayed plinth with turned feet.

A VICTORIAN MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK
The triangular pediment with curved angles, above an arched glazed door, enclosing an enamelled dial with subsidiary seconds and date dials, painted to the arch with a ploughman and to the spandrels with depictions of the seasons, inscribed Jas. Smith, Irvine, the tapering case fitted with a moulded trunk door between canted angles, the panelled base on spreading plinth with bun feet.

A MAHOGANY OPEN ARMCHAIR
The moulded yoked toprail above a solid vase-shaped splat, the upholstered drop-in seat flanked by out-scrolled armrests, on cabriole legs with pad feet, 18th Century and later.

AN ORIENTAL HARDWOOD JARDINIERE STAND
The circular moulded marble inset top above foliate-carved and pierced spandrels and similarly carved cabriole legs joined by x-stretchers.

A PAINTED LEATHER FOUR-FOLD SCREEN
The close-nailed leather panels painted to one side with exotic birds amidst dowering Oriental plants, damages each leaf.

FOUR SECTIONS OF A VICTORIAN WHITE MARBLE FIRE SURROUND
Comprising: a moulded serpentine shelf; a scrolled and carved cabriole cohnnn; and two plain rectangular sections the top 90in.

A VICTORIAN MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK
The Gothic ogee arched moulded pediment surmounted by a fleur-de-lys, flanked by moulded finials, above a circular brass glazed door enclosing an enamelled dial with subsidiary seconds dial, inscribed Liddell, Bold St., Liverpool, the case fitted with a moulded glazed ogee arched trunk door surmounted by a fleur-de-lys, between projecting angles, the panelled base between further projecting angles, on a moulded shaped plinth with bun feet.

A VICTORIAN OAK COFFER OF 17TH CENTURY SIYLL
The panelled moulded rectangular hinged top above three fielded panels carved with circular motifs between carved stiles and rails, on block feet with shaped spandrels.

A VICTORIAN OAK HALL CHAIR OF 17TH CENTURY STYLE
